TRANSPORT TRUCK INSTRUCTIONS – BLACK
$7.00
Description
This product includes only digital PDF instructions + an XML parts list. Instructions for my P1 model are not included, and the inventory does not include string for the winch. Some photos are marked as prototype, but the final model is almost identical to the prototype with a few structural upgrades.
A few years ago, I built a reasonably good transport truck for my Speed Champions. I wanted to make an updated one, and make it as good as possible. It’s inspired by several Hotwheels Team Transport trucks, designed to fit almost any standard Speed Champions model (models larger than 9 wide at their widest point will not fit). It’s white with a minimal accent from the yellow caution stripes so it works as a display for any color model.
I used a frame of Technic bricks for the chassis, and most of the visible surfaces are built with traditional brick stacking. There are some fun connections used in the grille and to clean up the bed design.
This model features a generic design that goes well with many styles of car, a bed that rolls off the truck with a locking pin to keep it in place, a winch on the bed to pull cars on, a cab with full interior that seats two minifigures and lifts to display a modeled engine bay, and a spare tire rack.
My instructions are designed to be clear and enjoyable to follow, with intricate sections shown in detail.
My models are designed with techniques more delicate than official LEGO, and thus are more detailed but may lead to frustration if used as toys. This model is pretty sturdy.
This model consists of 548 parts, which Rebrickable estimates should cost around $80 – with some effort you should be able to bring that down.
