A re-creation of my personal R129 SL500. A sturdy build that would take well to various colors. Includes instructions for optional hardtop.
Description
Mercedes is my favorite car manufacturer – and as I own a real R129, I wanted to do it justice in model form.
I tried to go for primarily clean shaping on this model- so many tiles and curved slopes are used, although I did use a few solutions from old Benz designs, and the front has some fun, not entirely ‘legal’ building going on (thanks Goat!).
This model features a swappable hard top and rear decklid, a sturdy design and enjoyable building solutions. This model features a fully modeled interior and does not fit minifigures.
My instructions are designed to be clear and enjoyable to follow, with intricate sections shown in detail.
My models are designed with techniques more delicate than official LEGO, and thus are more detailed but may lead to frustration if used as toys. This model is pretty sturdy.
This model consists of 300 parts, costing $45-$55.
